I know it's been awhile since I last posted...and I have very good reasons for this: Mom'n'Pops have been MIA for a whole week, so I've had to live life on the WILD side - y'know, eating bugs, livin' of the land, and trying to survive attack from this ferocious man-killer (mothers - shield your children's eyes!!!)

Ok, ok, so I fibbed a little. BUT - I did get up close and personal with these little guys. My awesome friend Tia let me go home with her to the exotic land of Council, Idaho, where they race porcupines on the 4th of July!!!! Porcupines!!!! Racing!!!!! yeah!!!!

Epic, right? So the gist of this is that the locals go out the night before the 4th and catch them the speediest pincushion they can find. The race looks a little something like this:
That's when a porky got loose and terrorized the town - just kidding :). Basically they just prod the porkies with brooms toward the goal line on the high school's football field.

Tia's Dad is the town doctor, and he was in the parade, so we made him signs! (Tia, Hannah, Christie, and Me)
A shot of the parade down main street... and that's most of main street :) Council may not be big, but for what they lack in size they make up for in awesome. They have the best names for their restaurants: The Branding Iron, 7 Devils Cafe, Council Mt. Cafe, One-eyed Jack's, AND the ACE Saloon/dance hall. I may move there soon. I have to learn how to drive stick first though...otherwise they'll kick me out.
Other than that I've just been getting settled in the burg of Rex, looking for jobs and possibly an eternal companion. Just kidding about the last part, but I thought I'd give y'all sisters in law a little thrill. However, if you happen to know an Elvis impersonator who owns a Ducati and looks good in jeans, don't hesitate to send him my way ;)
